JEZ STARTUP - Freelance Scriptwriter/Director

 

I've been working as a freelance scriptwriter and director for over 30 years on projects ranging from television dramas and commercials to corporate documentaries and animations.    Non-broadcast commissions have included public information and awareness videos, brand and corporate image films, internal communications, recruitment, training and social media videos.

 

My documentary work ranges from observational films shot over a few months to one day shoots and simple pieces to camera.  Over the years I've conducted many on-camera interviews, from government ministers to first time contributors, from technical interviews to moving personal testimonies.  

 

Drama work has included commissions for the BBC and Channel 4 as well as numerous corporate and government clients.  I have also directed stunt and special effects sequences on a number of drama series for the BBC and ITV.
